Interimconnect is the free to join network for skilled and experienced professional interim managers to network and find interim assignments. It links individual networks of interim managers providing a source of unadvertised interim assignments. The vast majority of interim managers in the network find their assignments through networking and contacts. Since the network was formed in 2002 Interimconnect has held regular regional networking meetings.
In December 2011 a survey was launched by Interimconnect to provide value to its members in the form of meaningful market intelligence, and Interimconnect have kindly made the results of this survey available for Interim Hub newsletter subscribers.
The majority of questions related to key sources of interim assignments and how interims believed their clients and prospective clients would go about resourcing interim managers in 2012. Many picked up on networking and the use of interim providers as a key part of winning assignments. There was also much discussion about the effectiveness of LinkedIn.
A significant 64% believed that there would be an increase in market activity in 2012.
The survey ends with some comments from individual interims describing what it has been like working in the interim market in 2011, and how they feel things may change in 2012. These make interesting reading, particularly for those about to embark on a career in interim management.
