In order to avoid falling foul of HMRC, it’s important that service providers clearly understand the status of their interim candidates and the relationship they have with them. With ever-changing legislation, this can be a real challenge.
Interim Management Association (IMA) members have a clear advantage in that the IMA is an off-shoot of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and they are kept up-to-date on such matters. The REC has a strong legal and lobbying facility which allows it to pass on its intelligence to IMA members.
