Institute of Interim Management establishes new branch in Canada

The UK-based Institute of Interim Management exports the concept of Expertise on Demand, announcing today the establishment of IIM Canada.

The Canadian branch was established by Roelf Woldring, an experienced interim executive and business turnaround expert who acknowledges that the interim management concept is still quite new there: “Canadian firms are beginning to understand the economic benefits and the business results that come from engaging proven, experienced, interim managers.”

With support from the board in the UK, IIM Canada will represent the voice of interim management, promoting the profession and establishing education and accreditation opportunities across the country. Co-Chair of the IIM, Hilary Husbands: “There is a terrific opportunity to develop the role of interim management across Canada. I am really excited about working with Roelf and his advisory board to build IIM Canada and share the UK’s ten years’ of experience.”

Fellow co-Chair, Ad van der Rest: “Interim Management’s expertise on demand makes a major contribution to enabling a flexible economy. I am looking forward to helping IIM Canada to establish a thriving community of professional, career interims.”

The IIM also has a branch in Italy and is currently looking at other opportunities for international expansion.
