Professional indemnity
Individuals working under limited company status can be exposed to a number of forms of litigation and the UK seems to be following the US, where litigation is increasingly used to settle disputes. As an interim manager, you will therefore be expected to carry professional indemnity insurance to cover you in case of litigation. The amount you will need will vary by assignment but generally speaking £250,000-£500,000 is sufficient for most assignments. We would recommend that you take out insurance immediately prior to taking on an assignment to avoid paying unncessary premiums.
If you are a member of a professional association, you should consider going to the broker who handles your association, as they are likley to be specialists in your area e.g. Finance.
